Swift got her start in music while performing in musical theater. She took acting and singing lessons on Broadway and showed a special interest in country music. She began to perform at local fairs, coffeehouses, musical festivals and sporting events. Her mother was sure she could make it in the music industry, so at the age of 11, they moved to Nashville was was rejected by most record labels for a solo career.

Taylor became the youngest songwriter at 15 by Sony/ATV Tree publishing house to write songs for other singers. Then in 2005, she moved to Big Machine Records to create her own music. One year later, she released her first album at the age of 16. She wrote three of the songs on the album and co-wrote the other eight songs.

Since that first album, Taylor Swift has huge success in album sales and during the award shows. She has won eight ACM Awards, four American Country Awards, 19 American Music Awards, one BBC Music Award, 23 Billboard Music Awards, 11 CMA Awards, ten Grammy Awards and many others.

While many people have focused on the relationships that Taylor has been in, like dating Harry Styles, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston and more, we should be focused on her music. Sure, she tends to write songs about these exes, but that does not mean we all have the right to judge. She is young and that is what all young people do: date!
