Why did Taylor Swift break down in tears mid-concert? It was truly important for women around the world

Even at her young age there is no doubt Tylor Swift is much more than a pop singer.

We’re usually right about ‘light’ news and fun materials , we ‘only’ cover something that happened in a Taylor Swift concert but we think in this case it’s also an important one. Read it and please share this article with your women friends to inspire them as part of the important #MeToo movement or share with your men friends to grow their awareness to women’s ownership on their bodies and what is considered a sexual harassment (by R.Cypher). It’s a small story about a big issue.

Earlier this year during a concert in Tampa, Swift began to tear and told the audience what had happened to her a year before. “A year ago, I was not playing in a stadium in Tampa, I was in a courtroom in Denver, Colorado,” Swift told her audience.. “This is the day the jury sided in my favor and said that they believed me.

She got really emotional – “I guess, I just think about all the people that weren’t believed and the people who haven’t been believed, and the people who are afraid to speak up because they think they won’t be believed,” she said. “I just wanted to say I’m sorry to anyone who ever wasn’t believed because I don’t know what turn my life would have taken if somebody didn’t believe me when I said something had happened to me.”

For Taylor Swift, August 14 is no longer just another day in the calendar. She was also appreciative towards her fans, open and honest in a way you don’t see every day among many of her peers, “So, I just wanted to say we have so much further to go, and I’m so grateful to you guys for being there for me for what was really a horrible part of my life,”

Sued David Muller and won one dollar

In August, 2016, Swift sued David Muller, a DJ by profession, whom she claimed sexually harassed and grabbed her ass while filming in 2013. The civil trial lasted six days and at the end the court ruled a symbolic sum of one dollar that Muller was obliged to pay to Swift. Another inspiring behavior showing she is only doing that to inspire other women and raise awareness as part of the rising important #MeToo movement.

Pop star Taylor Swift has won a lawsuit against a former radio presenter, David Muller, after the jury decided that the presenter had attacked her when he touched her bottom, Swift said. The media reported a tear and hugged her mother when the verdict was read in the Denver District Court.

The jury, which included six women and two men, also rejected Moller’s 55-year-old claims that members of Swift’s management team, including her mother, fired him from his Dream Job as a radio presenter by claiming Swift had sexually assaulted him , Which was denied by Muller. In court, Müller’s lawyer argued that the pitcher was valued in the industry and would not risk his status and pay $ 150,000 a year for sexual assault.

But Swift insisted firmly from the witness stand that Mueller reached under her skirt to hold her ass. The lawyer said in the trial that Swift sued only one dollar because she had no interest in the damage to Müller’s economic situation, and that she just wanted to convey a message:

‘NO!’ means ‘no!’.

My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard, Swift said in a statement after the verdict, saying she would donate to organizations supporting victims of sexual assault. Many women around the world have commented on the subject stating she was an inspiration for them and a source of courage to stand up for themselves.

A huge star , rich , famous, beautiful and beloved she didn’t choose the easy path. No woman wants to stand in front of the jury or the media and discuss her feelings when a man touched her improperly or harassed her.

But she still chose to do it just for the sake of other women around the world.

Hope you’ll be inspired by Tailor Swift

Her story thought us that no matter who you are you should stand up for yourselves. Say ‘no!’ when someone is crossing any of your borders . Be open about it, raise the subject if you see someone doing something wrong around you and don’t be afraid to talk about it and consult your close ones.
